“Is a Revolix laser interesting for you?” -Post from a Linked in group - Medical Lasers

I recently (01/10) placed a Revolix Duo (Thilium:YAG and Ho:YAG) system in the urology service at a healthcare facility in the midwest. Having been involved with urological surgical services for well over decade I will say that this 2 micron wavelength blows away everything I have ever seen used, or attempted to be used, for TURP, bladder tumors, strictures, etc. Complete hemostasis was maintained at all times during all procdures. The physicians love it, the nursing staff love it and adminstration loves it.

The doctors get right at a US$300.00 more/case than they were with “green light” system they have been using and get no night/weekend calls from pts and/or the ER regarding retention or readmittance. The facility saves around US$350.00/case in fiber costs and get just a bit more reimbursement than they were receiving from Medicaid for the “green light” procedure.

Nice box. Great outcomes. More cost/profit effective. Everyone wins!
